Cutting Bradshaw is hard to take. No one has given more of himself than he. Since he is only 27, I find it hard to believe that he will not come back to haunt us. One other thought. gone is the last of Reese’s 2007 draft class, which made him so heralded as a GM. Since that year, his draft have been good but not memorable like that one.

Bob, first, Zak DeOssie was part of that 2007 draft class, which took place six years ago, which coincidentally happens to be about the average career span of many NFL players – if they’re lucky. Second, I’m pretty sure everyone was wringing their hands and worrying that when Brandon Jacobs was cut , the move would come back to haunt the Giants – did it?

I sense you have some sort of sentimental attachment to Bradshaw, which is fine. But don’t let that cloud the fact that this guy has a lot of tread on his tires plus he’s dealt with injuries annually since becoming a starter. I think it speaks volumes that when he was a free agent, there wasn’t a huge demand for his services, and I can’t imagine a lot of teams will line up to sign him right away. So how about putting a little trust in the front office that they know what they’re doing?

2 Questions. First, assuming Webster is released or take a major salary reduction, is Jerry Reese going shopping?

Second, with Baas’ inability choose the correct man to block and his ability to maul someone in front of him coupled with Snee’s intelligence but lack of ability to maul, is a position swap a possibility?

Andy, considering that they are already frighteningly thin at cornerback, yeah, if Webster is released, I’d say cornerback is going to be a priority – it was a priority as of the end of last year.

Second, as you know, we’ve pondered the possibility of Baas and Snee flopping positions. We think that a move to center might prolong Snee’s career and maybe get him through to the end of his contract while Baas would potentially be a better fit at guard. Is the move coming? Can’t say right now. Would I be shocked if it happens? No.

Great review on the coach’s book. He owes you one because I will buy it.

Thanks Frank. That was my first attempt at writing a book review in quite a while. I’m glad you enjoyed it.
