Giants want an answer regarding their offer.
The New York Giants reportedly want an answer from unrestricted free agent defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins regarding an offer that’s on the table, according to the NFL Network.

The 25-year-old Hankins is coming off a 2016 season in which he switched to the 3-technique defensive tackle position thanks to the addition of Damon Harrison in free agency last year.
Hankins, who was playing in his first full season after a pectoral injury cut short his 2015 season, was effective, but didn’t quite come close to posting the numbers he did in 2014, a semi-breakout season for him thus far in his young career.

Of his 43 total tackles last year, 25 came against the run with only one tackle for a loss last season, also representing a dip in his 2014 production.
It’s not known exactly what kind of offer Hankins has been seeking, nor is it known what kind of offer the Giants have on the table.
What is known is that the market has been lukewarm at best for Hankins services despite him having youth on his side. With the draft class being loaded in 3-technique defenders, the Giants would appear to have leverage over their 2013 second round draft pick.
