New York Giants receivers Odell Beckham, Jr., Brandon Marshall to Miss Jets Game

New York Giants head coach Ben McAdoo tied to leave the door open this week about the possibility of having injured receivers Odell Beckham, Jr. (ankle) and/or Brandon Marshall (shoulder) available to play.

So much for trying to be coy, as the Giants ruled both receivers, along with receivers Tavarres King (ankle) and Dwayne Harris (upper body), cornerback Michael Hunter (concussion) and linebackers Keenan Robinson (concussion) and Mark Herzlich (stinger) out of their preseason game against the Jets.

With the Giants missing four receivers, Roger Lewis Jr. will step into the starting lineup. Others who might see time with the first-team offense at receiver could include undrafted free agent hopeful Travis Rudolph, who has received snaps with the starters this summer.

In other Giants lineup notes, Shane Smith will get the start ahead of Jacob Huesman at fullback. Smith is fighting for a roster spot.

For the Jets, CB Morris Claiborne, LB Lorenzo Mauldin, WR/KR Lucky Whitehead, S Rontez Miles, TE Jordan Leggett, TE Jason Vander Laan and WR Quincy Enunwa. will not play tonight.
